It is good to see the small line outside of Mels Fish Market, people awaiting their orders and discussion of our world affairs and how this impacts our communities. With the extreme unemployment rate it is a pure blessing that we are able to support our local businesses while trying to stay afloat.

But when the court is free, it’s party time to the most powerful artists commanding the stage. Our greats like Beyonce, Prince, Usher, Jay-Z, crazy Kanye, Kendrick Lamar, and the timeless stunning songstress Sade. In addition, the Staples Center has been Grammy town since it’s opening.
However, no matter what event is underway, my memories and what I feel when I approach this amazing stadium is LAKERSVILLE. The Marvel statues of our greats; Kobe, Shaq, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Elgin Baylor, and our beloved Chick Hearn sets the tone on who’s house it is. Home of the NBA All-Star Games. And all the supernatural history making Kobe has brought to this court, Staples will forever be Lakertown.

A report by Harvard Medical School also links the ownership of a dog with a decreased risk of cardiovascular disease.
The presence of a dog has proven mental health benefits, especially for those individuals overcoming a trauma. It is unexplainable how a dog’s unconditional love lessens the impact of physiological and psychological trauma. My grandmother suffered from Alzheimer’s and our dog handled her gingerly with love and comfort.
My mom suffered a traumatic surgery that required her to be home ridden for close to a year before her recovery. My Wesley immediately knew moms had a blow to her entire being the instant she arrived home from the hospital. The protection, the care, and attention surpassed the thoughtfulness and responsiveness delivered at the crappy West Hills hospital. So, LOVE your four-legged best friend as I do.
